A place for me to share my textile art and musings about art and life in general

I had a wonderful weekend playing with different things. This piece is the beginning of Lesson 4 of Hot Needles, Cool Stitches, which I had not even attempted. The lesson is all about making fabric. This was made with silk tailings betweem water soluble Guilliette. Once it had been free motion quilted, I washed the Guilliette away and this is the result. I really like the 'holey-ness' and am imagining ways of using this in other work. It is actually quite sturdy, even though it looks fragile. What fun!
